Dear ICDAD Member,
We are pleased to update you about the goals of the new Board which gathered for the first time last December at the Germanisches National Museum in Nuremberg.
Some changes to the ICDAD homepage have been worked out by the president Rainald Franz together with his colleague from the MAK, Leonhard Weidinger. Now the members of the board will be able to manage the new homepage directly.
During the Nuremberg meeting we proposed a newsletter to be posted on the website to keep the members periodically informed. As far as concerns the first issue, the members who are interested in giving any announcement about next exhibitions, publications, symposia, etc., should contact the homepage address within April 15th. We would like the website to become a useful resource for the members, and we welcome your contributions.
Our goal is also to keep on our website a kind of ICDAD archive about former conferences, lectures and boards.
As you probably already know, the annual ICDAD conference will take place June 4th-9th in Zagreb. The title is New ways to present decorative arts and design. The deadline for the call for papers submission is April 15th. The post conference tour will be along the Dalmatian coast, visiting the following towns: Zadar, Sibenik, Split, Narona and Trogir.
This year two scholarships will be given to two young ICDAD members in order to attend the conference.
